Caleb University Imota Lagos has at its 17th Matriculation, at the Imota Main Campus, renewed its partnership with parents for the strategic development of the University.
According to A statement by Olawale Adekoya, an information, Media and Publication Specialist, for Caleb University, Imota, said a Special Guest at the ceremony, popular veteran Nollywood actor and representative of the parents, Mr Yemi Solade, extolled the quality of education offered by Caleb University, and acknowledged the remarkable developments in the school.
Mr. Solade who has three masters degrees and acted in major movies and festivals locally and internationally, including Nigeria’s entry at Festac ’77 – Langbodo, promised to be an ambassador of the University considering its uniqueness in raising a generation of graduates of character and learning.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Nosa Owens-Ibie, urged the matriculating students to remain sensitive in their relationship with God, if they must push boundaries and overcome life challenges.
“The students are generally being equipped for the local and international markets in various fields of human endeavour, as Caleb University is expanding in infrastructure, in the quality of human resources, and the quality of the curriculum. We are networking and partnering with major institutions locally and internationally, and regulatory agencies”.
Caleb University has continued to consolidate the giant strides recorded at the heels of its 13th Convocation where it produced not only her maiden Doctorate degree holders and graduated 60 First Class students out of the total 1,209 graduands. Other recent milestones are the NUC approval of five new programmes, including Nursing Science and Software Engineering; and its 6th Inaugural Lecture.
The other high point of the
event, which statutorily confers membership of the University on the newly admitted freshers included the administration of the Matriculation Oath, as well as the signing of the Matriculation Register by the students.
