Attaining the golden age 50 is phenenemal. It becomes more outstanding when a significant part of the 50 has been dedicated to living an impactful and purposeful life. This aptly desribes Lekan Olasupo, a man of many parts who is also a major stakeholder in ValidViewNetwork.
ValidViewNetwork celebrates Lekan Olasupo for his support, encouragement towards achieveing the cardinal objectives of the organisation and positioning it to be on the pedestal of greatness among other media outfits.
He is eminently on the list detribalised Nigerians whose relationships and opinions of others are beyond the boundaries of religion and ethnicity. He is equally a fact check machine with penchant for truth and nothing but the truth regardless of whose ox is gored.
He is a graduate of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management from the prestigious Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where he graduated in 1999/2000 as the best graduating student of the set. He was a brilliant-social boy in a well knitted clique who are all making impact all over the world. We became closer during the compulsory NYSC at the National Assembly as we both served on the exco of the National Assembly Corpers’ Forum.
He joined Zenith Bank in 2004 and later moved to GTBank in 2007 where he rose steadily before leaving in 2016 as Senior Banking Officer to venture into business . He exhibited so much humility while at the GTBank, UNAAB Branch tha all staff of the University who knew him as a former student were always commending his humility and dedication to duty.
He is a man that is committed to hardwork, equity and justice with passion for the downtrodden and the underpriviledged. As a foremost member of the 1999/2000 set of the FUNAAB Alumni, he has consistently demonstrated astute leadership and commitment to what binds the group together. His experience in the banking world is also a benefit to the group and to individuals in the group. He is called the Accountant- General, managing funds of the group with utmost professionalism.
He is a man who believes in relationships and sacrifices easily towards achieving set goals.
On the occasion of his birthday, ValidViewNetwork ventured into getting opinion about him from some of his friends. According to Jide Adebanjo : ” He is a committed family man and a dedicated Muslim who holds friendship in very high esteem. He is a giver, always willing to help people who need assistance. He is always seeking knowledge to widen his horizon”
Validviewnetwork attests to the fact that the celebrant, Lekan Olasupo is a practical and practising Muslim.
Tayo Osuolale have this to say : ” Olalekan Muhammed-Taoheed Olasupo is a twin brother from another mother, we were separately born to the earth different day ,month ,year, by different parents but, as soon as we met almost 3decades ago we have glued as brothers.
Leks as we all fondly call him is genius in philantropism and I don’t care about his negativity we glued forever.”
One thing that has remained constant about him is his determination and commitment to help others even in the face of challenges. He is no doubt at ease to sacrifice his enerygy, time and financial resources.
According to Dr Sakiru Oladele Akinbode, an Associate Professor and former Head of Department of Economics, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Lekan Olasupo is an amiable personality full of sympathy and empathy. In his words, : “He is a positive but a bit emotional person. He is committed to what he believes in. I remember a couple of times that we have used his car to move around for Alumni duties. He is not a man given to excuses , always ready to sacrifice and have time discipline. He does not want anybody to be cheated or be looked down upon, always ready to serve humanity”
Another of his very key colleagues and friends wrapped it up by saying that the golden boy is a friend any guy would desire to have any day. To him, their relationship has metamorphosed from colleagues, friends and brothers to families. According to Olayinka Otolorin, Lekan is a blessing to this generation. His words, : “Meeting Lexxo was a blessing to me and many others. We have moved from one stage of friendship to the other and he has proven time over time that he is a friend of all seasons, committed and sacrificing. As he celebrates his golden age, I wish him all the best”
The golden boy, Lekan Olasupo is happily married to the beauty of his life and they are both blessed with three wonderful children of God Almighty.
