A 14-year-old girl was reportedly defiled by the son of her landlord in Alakuko, Lagos.
The news was shared on X by @Rhwaley, who said the incident happened on Monday, August 12, 2024.
They posted videos showing the girl with blood around her private area.
According to @Rhwaley, when the girl’s family talked to the landlord about the attack, he reportedly ignored their concerns and said, “Nothing will happen.”
Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, reacted by saying that no one is helpless in the matter and urged the family to contact the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team for assistance.
Gawat wrote, “Helpless ke …. Nobody is helpless on this matter in this State. Call #Lagosdsva SHARPLY”
