Protesting youths in Abeokuta on Tuesday set up bon fires across the metropolis and also attacked some commercial banks over cash scarcity crisis.

A branch of Guarantee Trust Bank in Asero was attacked by the irate youths who also blocked major roads in the city.
Nigerians have continued to lament over scarcity of cash following the policy of the central bank of Nigeria to redesign some denominations of the naira notes.
ValidViewNetwork also gathered that a branch of first bank in Sapon area of Abeokuta was attacked by the demonstrators.

Also, some protesters were seen at the First bank in Lafenwa, Abeokuta agitating as they destroyed the Automated Teller Machine in the Bank.
Policemen were seen in strategic places across the town to quell the situation.
There is also a video in circulation of a boy allegedly shot by the Policemen during the civil unrest.
