President Bola Tinubu is set to commission three crucial gas infrastructure projects spearheaded by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and its partners.
The projects include the AHL Gas Processing Plant 2 in Delta State, the ANOH Gas Processing Plant, and the ANOH-OB3 CTMS Gas Pipeline Projects in Imo State.
Together, these projects are expected to produce an estimated 1,400 million standard cubic feet per day of gas.
Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, highlighted that these projects align with the government’s goals of maximizing the nation’s gas assets, reducing gas flaring, and bolstering domestic gas supply to drive economic growth.

The AHL Gas Processing Plant 2, an expansion of the Kwale Gas Processing Plant, will significantly increase gas supply to the domestic market.
It is designed to process 200 million standard cubic feet per day of rich gas, with plans to ramp up production to 180 million standard cubic feet per day by the end of May.
This additional supply will support industrialization efforts and reduce dependency on LPG imports.
The ANOH gas plant, on the other hand, will process non-associated gas from the Assa North-Ohaji South field in Imo State, contributing to increased power generation and industrialization.
Additionally, the ANOH-OB3 CTMS Gas Pipeline Project will facilitate the transmission of gas from the Assa North-Ohaji South primary treatment facility to the OB3 Custody Transfer Metering Station.
These projects are expected to enhance gas supply to the domestic market by approximately 500 million standard cubic feet per day, fostering a conducive investment climate and promoting balanced economic growth.
