The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has conveyed his profound sorrow regarding the death of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo.
In his condolence message, the Speaker noted that the late Alhaji Adeojo was a trusted political ally of his late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, and remained a strong supporter of the Ogundoyin family.
The Speaker recounted that his late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, was among those who financed Alhaji Adeojo’s gubernatorial aspiration under the National Republican Convention (NRC) in the early 1990s.
Ogundoyin stated, “The Oyo State PDP and the entire party in Nigeria have lost a devoted, committed, loyalist, and supporter. Late Chief Yekini Adeojo was a thoroughbred politician who was supported and campaigned for by my late Dad, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin. He was a very good father figure to the entire Ogundoyin family. His demise has left a huge vacuum in our lives, and we will miss his wise counsel and guidance. May Allah grant him paradise.”
He lauded Alhaji Adeojo’s contributions to Oyo State’s development, emphasizing that his wisdom and experience would be sorely missed.
Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin offered his condolences to the deceased’s family, the PDP family in Oyo State, and all the state’s residents.
He prayed for God to grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his loved ones during this challenging period.
Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin encouraged everyone to find comfort in the good life and legacies of the departed PDP chieftain.
