Olubunmi Abodunde, a Nigerian residing in the United Kingdom, has pleaded guilty to murdering his wife, Taiwo, using their son’s skateboard, as reported by Daily Mail.
The couple, who migrated from Nigeria to the UK in 2022, had a history of conflicts, primarily stemming from alleged affairs and disagreements over financial matters.
Abodunde, aged 48, had previously been under investigation by Suffolk Police for domestic violence incidents.
Despite bail conditions prohibiting him from entering the property following a violent episode, he entered their home where the fatal attack occurred.
Upon entering the house, police found Taiwo, 41, with severe head injuries, suggesting a violent assault.
Judge Martyn Levett, presiding at Ipswich Crown Court, warned Abodunde that he faces a life sentence for the crime.

The Suffolk Constabulary has referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) for investigation, with three officers under scrutiny for potential misconduct.
Abodunde had a history of jealousy and suspicion towards his wife, whom he accused of infidelity.
Despite previous arrests related to domestic violence, he continued his aggressive behavior.
The tragic incident unfolded on April 27, when Abodunde, in violation of bail conditions, returned home and allegedly attacked Taiwo, resulting in her death.
The post-mortem examination revealed extensive injuries consistent with a sustained assault, including strangulation and multiple blows inflicted with the skateboard.
Abodunde claimed self-defense, alleging prior abuse from his wife, but no evidence supporting his claims was found.
Detective Inspector Dan Connick of Suffolk Police expressed condolences to Taiwo’s family, acknowledging the profound impact of the tragedy on the community.
Taiwo Abodunde, employed as a care home assistant, was deeply valued by her colleagues and residents.
