Women and young girls have been urged to discovered themselves in order to live a fulfilled life.
The founder of The Lineage of Grace Initiative for Family Foundation, Pastor (Mrs) Mopelola Arowosafe gave the admonition at the All Female Conference tagged Changing The Narrative Re-writing The Story held on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Mrs Arowosafe who also double as the host of the conference spoke alongside other notable women speakers.
The women interrogated various issues ranging from economy to politics, marriage and relationship.
Pastor (Mrs) Arowosafe who spoke majorly on relationship, noted that self discovery is key for any good relationship. She added that true self discovery can only be found out from the creator.
“Man is a product of relationship. Relationship is God’s intention. We see this in the book of Genesis when God created man.”
“You can only discover yourself by looking at what your creator says about you.”
“A good relationship will make you, while a bad relationship will mar you. Ask yourself is the relationship a plus or a minus.”
For the former Special adviser to Ogun state governor, Mrs Ronke Soyombo, women must take more deliberate and purooseful interest and role in politics.
While urging them to denounce the insinuation that women in politics are wayward, the educationist and lawyer pleaded with the women to get more involved in politics and be part of the decision making.
Mrs Soyombo stated that the major difference between Nigeria and the advanced countries of the world is that educated women get involved in politics while in Nigeria it is the uneducated ones that are left to be involved.
Reverend Kemi Amosun, wife of the Senior Pastor of Rick Foundation Church, Abeokuta, spoke on the need for the young girls and women to develop themselves and also ensure they have multiple streams of income and not rely on their men. She encouraged the women to catch a brighter vision of a glorious future.
A senior pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) and an Entrepreneur, Dr. Olufunmi Adegbile urged the women to dream big, and be passionate about their vision.
“You have to start living your dream. The environment makes it difficult for women to break even.”
“Women should go beyond dreaming and start living.”
The event which attracted scores of young girls and women was also to celebrate Mrs Arowosafe’s 45th birthday, ValidViewNetwork reports.
