A tragic incident occurred at a birthday party in the Halleluyah Quarter, Ibafo area of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, where a man identified as Abubakar was fatally stabbed following an argument.
The altercation reportedly took place on Friday night during the birthday celebration organized by Nafiu Yusuf for his one-year-old daughter.
According to eyewitnesses, the argument escalated into violence involving Abubakar and another individual, Dada Sulaiman. Abubakar was stabbed in the stomach with a broken bottle during the altercation and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
Upon receiving the report, the Ogun State Police Command promptly responded and arrested three suspects linked to the incident.
The suspects were detained for interrogation, and investigations are ongoing.

Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the incident as a suspected murder case.
She highlighted the dangers associated with intoxication and emphasized the importance of managing alcohol consumption to prevent such tragic outcomes.
The deceased’s family and friends, including his wife, were devastated by the incident, as witnessed outside the Ibafo Police Station, where emotions ran high.
