Suspects hiding in an uncompleted building opened fire upon spotting police, but superior firepower from officers forced them to scatter, wounded, into the night . Authorities seized an FNC rifle loaded with one live round, a pump-action gun with 32 cartridges, soaked garri in a bowl with three spoons, groundnut packets, extra garri, alcohol sachets, matches, and lighters—evidence of the gang’s hasty camp .
