Senator Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Edo governorship election, has assured the state’s citizens that his campaign will center on pertinent issues, avoiding any divisive rhetoric.
This assurance comes following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) announcement on Monday, permitting eligible candidates to commence their campaigns effective Thursday.
In a signed statement, Senator Okpebholo outlined key priorities for his administration, emphasizing quality healthcare, education, infrastructure, security, food security, welfare programs, housing, ICT, and agriculture.
Highlighting his track record of service provision, Okpebholo pledged to leverage his experience to propel Edo State into becoming a leading economic hub.

Furthermore, he noted the resumption of federal road projects in the state, facilitated by his intervention and that of APC leader in Edo, Adams Oshiomhole.
With ongoing federal interventions across the state, Okpebholo promised increased collaboration with the central government upon APC’s assumption of office.
He assured equitable treatment for all senatorial districts and vowed to restore respect for traditional institutions neglected by the current administration.
As the campaign commences, Okpebholo urged supporters to maintain composure and focus, affirming victory on November 12th. Alongside his running mate, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, Okpebholo pledged direct engagement with the electorate, addressing their concerns transparently.
Asserting their commitment to integrity and inclusivity, Okpebholo emphasized their readiness to confront challenges and emerge victorious in the election, promising to uphold the dignity of traditional institutions and deliver on campaign promises.
