The federal government has announced a N185 billion palliative for the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, disclosed this in Abuja while briefing journalists at the end of a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC).
Governor Zulum explained that each state government will receive N5 billion each.
The money is expected to cushion the impact of the removal of the petrol subsidy on the citizens.
