Iris Jones, 83, who had openly declared her love for her 37 year old lover had revealed that the relationship is all over.
Iris Jones had shocked the world when she went public with Mohamed Ahmed Ibriham and discussed their wild nights of passion.
Both lovers met on Facebook back in 2019 and Iris driven by love and passion had travelled to Egypt to marry her partner, who was 46 years her junior the following year in November.
They repoertedly tied the knot in a local KFC and it looked like their future was bright.
There were speculations that Ibrahim wsas trying to use the opportunity to obtain a UK passport which the couple denied confirming that they were genuinely in love.
Iris and Mohamed shacked up in Weston-Super-Mare after the 37-year-old was granted a three-year-visa in 2021.
Iris had sometimes claimed that she had to put a sex ban on her lover due to frequent trips to the emergency department.
However, it appears that the steam in the marriage has dried up and the bond can no loner hold them together.
Iris has revealed she’s done with the relationship and just wants to relax with her cat now.
Iris had reportedly stated : “I never expected to fall in love with someone 46 years younger than me, but I did.
“I adored everything about Mohamed. “But it became hard work.
“We used to have a great sex life but then, rather than making love, we ended up arguing all the time about anything and everything.
“I can’t be doing with that. I’m not a lovesick teenager. I’m 83.”
Mohamed left their marital home and Iris picked up her cat, Mr Tibbs, only a few days after.
She said the tabby is the ‘perfect companion’ now that she’s alone again.
“He never complains, is very quiet and beautiful to look at – I adore him. And he’s very happy here and doesn’t create a mess,” she explained to Closer.
However, when she was asked how she felt about their marriage being over, Iris didn’t hold back.
“I’m not missing Mohamed at all, the thing that annoyed me the most when he left was he took my tempura battered prawns that I’d planned for my dinner that night,” she revealed.
