Kano Pillars Unveil RAFA Detergent in Landmark Shirt Deal

​KANO — Nigeria Premier Football League giants Kano Pillars have officially unveiled RAFA Detergent as their new main front-of-shirt sponsor ahead of the 2026/27 domestic campaign.

​The high-profile partnership, announced over the weekend, marks a crucial step in the club’s ongoing commercial restructuring under the leadership of General Manager and former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa. The initiative aims to reduce heavy financial reliance on government funding through sustainable private-sector alliances.

​A Shared Vision for Excellence

​The multi-year agreement was finalized and signed by Alhaji Kabiru Rabiu, Chairman of Rafa Corporation and Group Executive Director of BUA Group, alongside Alhaji Ahmed Musbahu Garo, Chairman of the Kano Pillars Board of Directors.

​Speaking during the official unveiling ceremony themed “Together for a Stronger Tomorrow,” Rabiu emphasized that aligning the rapidly growing consumer goods brand with Sai Masu Gida was a natural strategic fit.

​”The club’s extraordinary following, enduring place in Kano’s identity, and distinguished contribution to Nigerian football made it a compelling partner for Rafa,” Rabiu stated. He added that the collaboration extends beyond mere brand visibility to actively supporting grassroots youth development and sports infrastructure.

​New Look for the New Season

​RAFA steps in to replace Radio France International (RFI) Hausa, who served as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsors during the previous campaign. Under the new agreement, the detergent brand’s logo will feature prominently across all home, away, alternate, and goalkeeper playing strips.

​The newly designed kits were modeled by club players Fabian Nworie, Ibrahim Sani Halliru, Frank Onyebuchi, and Shola Abdulraheem during the official presentation.

​Pillars are scheduled to debut the newly branded jerseys competitively during their rescheduled NPFL Matchday Three clash against Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. Club faithful will hope the fresh commercial momentum translates immediately onto the pitch as the team chases domestic glory this season.
