A 16-year-old girl in Delta State has alleged that she was lured to a hotel in the Ughelli area where two teenage boys sexually assaulted her and recorded the incident.
The teenager gave the account during an interview with the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe.One of the alleged suspects, identified as Godstime, has been arrested.

HOW SHE SAYS SHE GOT TO THE HOTEL
The girl said a friend identified as Nice Money invited her to meet him at a hotel. She said she initially told him she did not have transport fare.
According to her, Nice Money assured her that someone would provide the fare when she arrived. “When I got into the hotel, I saw two extra boys,” she said.
She identified them as Godstime and Goodluck. According to the girl, Nice Money later left the hotel.
WHAT SHE ALLEGEDLY FACED
The teenager said an argument began after she told the boys she was menstruating. She alleged that one of them slapped her and ordered her to undress. She further alleged that the two boys sexually assaulted her and recorded the incident on their phones. She said she pleaded with them to delete the recording.
According to her account, the suspects demanded further sexual activity before agreeing to delete the footage. She said she eventually escaped from the hotel while the suspects were asleep.
POLICE ARREST SUSPECT
Edafe confirmed the case and said one of the main suspects involved in recording the video had been arrested.
The arrested suspect, Godstime, also spoke during the police interview. He admitted that he and Goodluck had sexual intercourse with the girl but disputed some details of her account.
“I was the one speaking in the video, and we recorded it because we were angry when she told us she was on her period,” he said. He also acknowledged that he had been communicating with the girl on WhatsApp before she came to the hotel.
Godstime disputed the teenager’s account of how many times she was assaulted. “When the girl came to the hotel, Goodluck and I had sex with her, but we only did it twice,” he said.
POLICE PROMISE PROSECUTION
Edafe said the arrested suspect would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
“He is with us, and he is going to go in for it because the law says from seven years and above, whatever you do, you will go in for it,” the police spokesman said.
The second alleged suspect, Goodluck, was identified in the report but his arrest status was not confirmed. The role, if any, of Nice Money in the alleged incident also requires investigation.

Because the alleged victim is 16, her identity should remain protected in accordance with child-protection and responsible reporting principles.
The allegations against the suspects also remain allegations until established through due legal process.
