Love Knows No Age? Ex-Senator Ocheja, 74, Marries 18-Year-Old

Former Kogi State Senator, Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja, 74, has married an 18-year-old lady identified as Winifred, in a wedding that has attracted attention on social media because of the couple’s 56-year age difference.

According to businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose, who congratulated the couple in a social-media post, Winifred is a close friend of Senator Ocheja’s granddaughter.

The couple reportedly held their traditional wedding on September 13, 2026, before proceeding with their white wedding in Abuja on September 19.

Photographs and messages circulating online showed the couple celebrating their union as family members, friends and well-wishers joined them in marking the occasion.

FAYOSE CONGRATULATES THE COUPLE

Fayose shared a congratulatory message to the newlyweds while drawing attention to the unusual connection between the bride and the former senator’s family.

He said the 18-year-old bride is the best friend of Ocheja’s granddaughter. The claim has added another layer of public interest to the marriage, given the bride’s age and her reported relationship with the former senator’s granddaughter.

WHO IS DANGANA OCHEJA?
