Gbajabiamila: ‘Police, DSS, ICPC Cleared Me of Allegations’

ValidViewNetwork reports that President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, has maintained that investigations by security and anti-corruption agencies found no evidence linking him to the alleged wrongdoing surrounding the disputed Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.

The controversy followed allegations involving the purported agency and its director, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi.Gbajabiamila has consistently denied receiving money, demanding financial benefits or authorising anyone to act on his behalf.

ValidViewNetwork gathered that a House of Representatives committee investigating the matter previously said documentary evidence before it did not establish that Gbajabiamila authorised, established or participated in the activities of the purported organisation.

The committee said he had instead contacted relevant security and investigative agencies after receiving alerts about it.

Gbajabiamila also instituted a N15 billion defamation suit against Adeyemi over allegations he said were false and damaging.

He denied receiving the alleged N400 million or any other financial benefit linked to the controversy.

The Chief of Staff’s latest position is that the investigations have cleared him.

The allegations and counter-allegations remain part of a wider legal and political dispute surrounding the purported agency. ValidViewNetwork reports.
