Blessing CEO Denies Unauthorized N56M Fundraiser Following Son’s Death

​Popular internet personality Okoko Blessing, widely known as Blessing CEO, has distanced herself from a viral online fundraising campaign launched in the wake of her second son’s reported passing.

​The denial came to light through actress Doris Ogala, who publicly stepped forward following a telephone conversation with Blessing CEO to set the record straight for concerned followers and the public.

​According to Ogala, a yet-to-be-identified woman had surfaced online appealing for financial donations on the media personality’s behalf. The unauthorized campaign reportedly claimed that massive sums of ₦20 million and an additional ₦36 million—totaling ₦56 million—were urgently required.

​Addressing the development during their phone call, Blessing CEO firmly rejected any knowledge of or association with the crowdfunding effort.

​”No, I’m not aware of that. No, no, no, no, I didn’t,” Blessing stated emphatically when questioned about authorizing the solicitation.

​Furthermore, the internet personality expressed deep displeasure over how the tragic news of her son’s death was made public. She maintained that she, as the grieving mother, should have retained the exclusive prerogative to break such a sensitive piece of news, rather than having strangers do so on social media.

​”I didn’t give anybody consent and according to the passing of my son, I think I’m in the best position to break that news, not an entire stranger,” she added.

​In light of these revelations, Ogala has strongly advised well-meaning Nigerians and followers who may have already contributed funds to the viral campaign to immediately request a refund. She reinforced that the controversial ₦56 million appeal holds no blessing or authorization from the embattled media personality.

​Meanwhile, Ogala also noted that Blessing CEO is currently nearing the final stages of her ongoing bail process, while maintaining strict clarity that the purported monetary appeal is entirely fraudulent and disconnected from the internet celebrity.
