Ikoga Junior Grammar School in the Ikoga-Zebbe community of Badagry Local Government Area is undergoing a comprehensive physical transformation, breathing new life into a once-deteriorating learning environment.
The extensive rehabilitation project, spearheaded by the Lagos State Government through the Special Committee on Rehabilitation of Public Schools (SCRPS), targets three core classroom blocks that had fallen into severe disrepair over the years.
Recent field observations reveal a flurry of activity on the school grounds. Construction crews are actively replacing damaged infrastructure, installing sturdy new windows and doors, and applying fresh coats of paint to revive the weathered structures. These upgrades aim to replace the previous dilapidated conditions with a secure, vibrant, and conducive atmosphere for both students and teachers.
Local education stakeholders and community members have welcomed the intervention, noting that modernizing public school infrastructure is vital for academic excellence at the grassroots level.
