JOS — Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have rescued two kidnapped victims and arrested 11 suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate during separate operations across Plateau State.
In the latest blow struck against criminal networks operating in the North-Central region, ValidViewNetwork gathered that the operations were disclosed in a statement issued by the military.
It credited close coordination between troops and local intelligence sources for the successful rescue and arrests.
A region under pressure from kidnap gangs
Plateau State has recorded a troubling pattern of kidnappings and communal attacks in recent months, prompting sustained military deployment under Operation Enduring Peace aimed at degrading the capacity of armed groups operating in the state’s forested and rural axes.

ValidViewNetwork can confirm that the arrested suspects have been handed over for further investigation, with the military assuring residents that operations against kidnapping networks in the state will continue.
