Fashion designer and civil engineer Muudumbari “Barry” Pop-Yornwin has rewritten the script of Big Brother Naija Season 11, becoming the first confirmed finalist of the “Show Ya Sef” edition after clinching the Week 8 Head of House title in a high-stakes arena showdown.

The 26-year-old Abuja-based housemate, originally from Rivers State, edged out Keivo in the final round of Monday’s Head of House challenge to claim the coveted crown. The victory delivered an extraordinary package of advantages: automatic qualification for the grand finale, immunity for the coming weeks, the Ultimate Veto Power, and the right to select a Loft Mate.

Barry immediately exercised one of those privileges by choosing Keivo to share the luxury executive suite with him. He then turned his attention to the nomination process. Big Brother instructed the remaining housemates—excluding Bells, who served as the Bench Warmer of the Hour—to deliver two-minute pitches explaining why they deserved protection from eviction.

After listening to the emotional appeals, Barry used his Ultimate Veto Power to save Aikou (Amyr Yousufzai), the freelance teacher and web developer. The decision removed Aikou from the firing line and guaranteed him a place in Week 9 alongside the new Head of House.

Eleven housemates remain vulnerable: Chimsom Chuka, Sheba, Tram, Bells, Yusuf, Temi Nkem, Ricky, Bluethopia, Oyin, Flora and Keivo. Viewers will decide which of them exits when the live eviction show airs on Sunday.

Barry’s triple win—Head of House, first finalist status and veto authority—places him in the strongest strategic position as the competition enters its decisive phase. The season’s winner is set to claim a record N160 million prize package, the largest in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.

With one finalist already locked in, the remaining contestants face intensifying pressure to secure their own paths to the finale in the weeks ahead.
