UNIOFFA Taps Gbolagade as Health Sciences Coordinator

​The University of Offa (UNIOFFA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Gbolagade Kazeem Adewale as the new Course Coordinator for the Faculty of Health Sciences.

​According to a press statement released by the institution’s Media and Public Relations Unit, the appointment received the official endorsement of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade. The move is designed to bolster academic oversight, instructional delivery, research output, and administrative efficiency within the faculty, which anchors key professional courses including Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, and Community Health.

​Mr. Gbolagade brings a diverse and robust professional profile to the role, blending expertise as a physiologist, neuroscience researcher, medical education innovator, and full-stack software developer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology with Second Class Upper Honours from the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, where he clinched academic distinctions in Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology. He is currently advancing his studies with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in Physiology at the University of Ilorin.

​Academically, he has carved a niche at the intersection of medical science and educational technology. His innovative footprint includes the creation of interactive learning platforms and digital serious games—such as GutDigest, GutMove, GutAcid, and the neurophysiology puzzle game All or None—engineered to simplify complex physiological concepts for students. His empirical work on tech-enhanced medical education has earned peer-reviewed traction, featuring prominently in international publications like the Advances in Physiology Education journal.

​Beyond the laboratory and lecture halls, Mr. Gbolagade boasts extensive technical capabilities in software architecture, database management, and UI/UX design, which he has previously leveraged to build automated computer-based testing and institutional assessment frameworks. His administrative and clinical track record includes serving as an Academic Director in Iwo, Osun State, and functioning as a Medical Director at the Ahman Pategi University Health Centre in Kwara State.
