AKURE — In a major boost to grassroots justice delivery, the Ondo State Judiciary has sworn in three new Rent Tribunal Chairmen alongside twenty-one Customary Court Members. The landmark swearing-in ceremony took place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at High Court No. 1, Akure, drawing top legal luminaries, government officials, and families of the appointees.

The Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Aiyedun Olusegun Odusola, administered the oath of office to the Rent Tribunal Chairmen, while the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Eunice Aderonke Alade, presided over the inauguration of the Customary Court Members.

Addressing the newly inducted officials, Justice Odusola lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering support of the state’s judicial system. Similarly, he emphasized that Rent Tribunals are vital for maintaining equilibrium and fairness in landlord-tenant relationships across the state.

The Chief Judge charged the appointees to recognize that their personal and professional conduct will directly shape public trust in the judiciary. He urged them to discharge their duties with absolute honesty, impartiality, diligence, and accountability, while encouraging them to embrace continuous legal education to sharpen their adjudication skills.
