The House of Oduduwa is in a celebratory mood once again as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, announced the birth of a baby girl with his queen, Olori Oluwatosin.
The revered monarch shared the joyous news through an official statement released by his senior media aide, Sodiq Lawal, on Sunday. Expressing profound gratitude to the Almighty, the king heralded the newborn as a precious testament to divine grace.
”To God Almighty be all the glory for his unfailing grace and the precious gift of new life,” the statement read. “Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa for the blessed arrival of a Royal Princess through Olori Oluwatosin.”
Oba Ogunwusi offered prayers for the newborn, expressing his desire that she flourish in wisdom, grace, and honour throughout her lifetime. He also reassured well-wishers that both Olori Oluwatosin and the infant princess are in excellent health.
This latest addition to the palace expands the royal household further, coming barely three months after the monarch welcomed twin princes with another of his wives, Olori Mariam Ajibola.
