A 35-year-old Nigerian national, who used counter-surveillance tactics and false identities to hunt and abuse women in London, has been jailed for eight years and eleven months.

Victor Komolafe, who operated under the chilling aliases “Ghost” and “Xavier,” was sentenced at the Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. His conviction marks a major victory for the Metropolitan Police’s specialized “V100” initiative—a high-intensity unit that applies counter-terrorism tactics to track down London’s most dangerous predators.

In addition to his prison term, the judge handed Komolafe an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and ordered that his name remain on the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.

A Campaign of Deception and Abuse

The conviction follows a grueling trial at the Snaresbrook Crown Court in April, where a jury found Komolafe guilty of four counts of sexual abuse. The charges included one count of attempted rape, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration.

The prosecution established that Komolafe deliberately targeted two separate victims, entirely unknown to one another, by hiding behind a carefully crafted facade of friendship.

”Komolafe would hide behind a guise of familiarity and friendship with his victims; this enabled him to exploit his formed connections and target these women for his abusive crimes,” Detective Constables Jo Cheug and Helen Codes said in a joint statement following the sentencing.

Unmasked by Forensic Science

Komolafe’s criminal network began to unravel following a report of sexual assault lodged on August 10, 2023. When cornered by investigators, the defendant claimed the encounter was entirely consensual.

Detectives revealed that Komolafe went to extraordinary lengths to hide his real name, home address, and true identity from his victims. However, relentless forensic tracking by the Met’s scientific units shattered his anonymity, linking him directly to the crime scene.

Within a month of his initial arrest, a second victim stepped forward on September 25, 2023, detailing an attack that had occurred two days prior. The harrowing testimony revealed the calculated cruelty of Komolafe’s methods: the victim was intentionally denied food and water to induce physical incapacitation before being subjected to horrific sexual offences inside a vehicle belonging to the defendant’s partner.

Though Komolafe vehemently denied the second assault, detectives secured undeniable breakthrough evidence—discovering his DNA matched semen traces left on the victim’s clothing.

Inside the Met’s Elite ‘V100’ Unit

Komolafe was brought to justice through his inclusion in the Metropolitan Police’s V100 program. The specialized enforcement framework utilizes data analytics and intelligence mapping to generate a rolling monthly registry of the top 100 suspects posing the highest threat levels to women and girls across London.

Once a suspect is logged into the V100 registry, elite tracking units deploy aggressive surveillance and interdiction tactics typically reserved for counter-terrorism operations to swiftly remove them from society.

In an official briefing released on Friday, June 5, 2026, Scotland Yard confirmed that Komolafe’s imprisonment underscores the widening net of the task force. Since its launch in 2023, the V100 program has successfully secured convictions against 208 high-risk predators.

A Call to Other Victims

Breaking her silence after the sentencing, one of the survivors urged other potential victims of the predator to find the courage to speak to law enforcement.

”If you have a feeling that something happened to you against your will, go to the police. It’s worth speaking up even if you’re not sure,” she stated. “This might encourage people to report him and others. People like him need to be put to face justice. You shouldn’t feel unsafe. If there is anyone who was hurt by Victor, you should come forward. He won’t be able to hurt you now.”
