Africa’s premier women’s football event, the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2026, has its groups confirmed following a January 15 draw in Rabat. Morocco steps up as host for the third straight edition, expanding to 16 teams for the first time while serving as qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil—top four finishers secure spots. Defending champions Nigeria’s Super Falcons headline Group C in Casablanca, facing tough battles en route to continental glory.

Tournament Groups Breakdown

The draw pits powerhouses against rising sides across four groups, blending experience with ambition.

Host Cities and Stadiums

CAF and Morocco’s Local Organising Committee selected six key venues, prioritizing Rabat and Casablanca hubs for accessibility and capacity. Matches unfold from March 17 to April 3, blending modern facilities with Morocco’s football legacy.

  • Rabat: Moulay Al Hassan Stadium, Al Madina Stadium, Olympic Stadium
  • Casablanca: Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Père Jégo Stadium
  • Other sites: El Bachir (Mohammédia), Honor Stadium (Oujda), Berkane Stadium

Rabat’s Olympic Stadium eyes the final, underscoring Morocco’s growing women’s football infrastructure post-2024 hosting.
