Preliminary police investigation has revealed the couple, Engr Femi Matthew Egbeoluwa and wife, Funmi, were killed by their driver and house help after stealing the sum of £5,000.
ValidViewNetwork had earlier reported that Egbeoluwa and wife were murdered on March 18 at their home at Lagos State.
The couple were actually preparing to travel out of the country for Demi’s regular medical check-up. The $5,000 stolen by the murderers was said to be the money for Femi’s medical expenses.
The Lagos State police command has launched an investigation into the assassination of a couple in Lagos state, engineer Femi Matthew Egbeoluwa, and Funmi.
They were reportedly killed by unidentified gunmen who broke into their home at 1, Adefolu drive, Allen Avenue Ikeja between last Friday night and early Saturday morning.
