Troops Foil ISWAP Supply Convoy in Yobe-Borno Axis

Nigerian Army troops from Sector 2, Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, alongside Civilian Joint Task Force members, thwarted a suspected logistics operation for Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists. Acting on credible human intelligence, they intercepted two pickup vans moving supplies from Dapchi in Yobe State through Magumeri general area toward Borno State. The drivers now face interrogation in military custody, with vehicles and items under investigation for terror links. ​

Troops recovered a diverse haul blending vehicle parts, foodstuffs, and essentials, underscoring ISWAP’s reliance on civilian cover for sustainment. Key recoveries include 31 spare tyres, 23 spare rims, 12 key starters, three alternators, two bicycles, two bags of flour, 34 yam tubers, five bags of charcoal, one mattress, two blankets, garri-filled nylons, assorted clothing for adults and children, six mobile phones, one power bank, and N92,600 cash. These items highlight tactics to bolster insurgent mobility and daily needs in the Lake Chad region. ​

This intelligence-driven success disrupts covert supply chains feeding ISWAP fighters, limiting their operational reach across northeast Nigeria. Military spokespersons, including Lt. Col.
