Tragic Kidnapping and Ritual Murder of FRSC Officer and Daughter in Osun State

A disturbing incident shocked residents of Ogun and Osun States in early November 2025, involving Mrs. Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, a senior Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, and her young daughter, Sewa. Both were kidnapped from Ogun State and gruesomely murdered by herbalists in Osun State.

Mrs. Lasisi, who held the rank of Superintendent and was a respected FRSC official in Abeokuta, reportedly traveled with her daughter and Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, a married man from Osun, to Osun State on Sunday, November 2nd. Victor is alleged to have masterminded the crime, driven by superstitious beliefs that ritual sacrifice would bring him success.

Upon arrival, the group visited a well-known herbalist’s residence where Mrs. Lasisi was taken to a secluded area behind the herbalist’s house and murdered. Her body was dismembered and parts allegedly used for rituals. Tragically, her daughter was killed in the surrounding bush and her remains abandoned.

Victor attempted to fake his kidnapping by abandoning his car with keys in the ignition on Ikire expressway. His wife’s suspicions led to a police investigation, revealing multiple calls he made to the herbalist’s number prior to the crime.

Police deployed undercover operations and tracked the main herbalist suspect to Ijebu-Ijesha in Osun, leading to his arrest after a pursuit. A second herbalist was arrested in Ekiti State. Both suspects led police to the location where the child’s remains were found.

The case has caused public outrage, especially as the primary herbalist suspect has a significant social media following on TikTok, amplifying demand for justice.

Authorities continue to investigate the case fully, emphasizing ongoing efforts to curb ritualistic crimes in the region. The suspects remain in custody as the judicial process unfolds.
