Wike Appoints Nancy Sabanti Nathan as Acting Head of Service of FCTA

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan as the new Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). The appointment comes in the wake of the recent passing of the former Head of Service, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, and takes immediate effect pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.

Mrs. Nancy Sabanti Nathan, a respected public servant and member of the prestigious National Institute (mni), brings extensive experience to her new role. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Permanent Secretary at the Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA, where she demonstrated strong administrative leadership. Before that, she held the position of Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the Minister of the FCT, providing her with key insights into the financial and operational aspects of the territory’s administration.

Her elevation to Acting Head of Service makes her the second female to hold this important position in the FCTA, where she is expected to steer the administration effectively and ensure continuity of service until a permanent appointment is made. Mrs. Nathan’s appointment highlights the FCTA’s commitment to experienced and capable leadership during this transitional period.
