Serena Williams’ Massive Net Worth and Stunning Body Transformation Leave Fans Stunned

Serena Williams is one of the most recognisable and celebrated figures within the sport of tennis.

The 43-year-old left professional tennis behind three years ago and has since had her second child, Adira, who arrived in August 2023. Williams, regarded as one of tennis’s greatest ever players, called time on her career in 2022 following an exceptional journey that saw her claim 23 Grand Slam singles crowns, including seven Wimbledon victories and a period of dominance at the summit of the sport alongside sister Venus.

Her final major triumph came at the Australian Open in 2017, though her impact both on and off the court has remained significant long after hanging up her racquet.

Here, we take a look at her new life away from the pro scene…

Huge net worth now
During her illustrious career representing the WTA Tour, Williams has accumulated an estimated wealth of £220million. This fortune was built through her prize money on court alongside numerous endorsement deals, including partnerships with Nike, Gatorade and Beats by Dre.

Williams’ spouse, Reddit co-founder Ohanian, has achieved success independently, and his various business ventures have generated a wealth estimated at £110m, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

This brings the pair’s joint fortune to approximately £330m, though they playfully disagreed over how much of this should fund their eldest daughter’s pocket money. Ohanian revealed that Olympia earns a £5 weekly allowance for completing household tasks, but Williams once challenged her husband and advocated for their daughter to have weekends free.

Ohanian confessed: “Yes, Olympia’s got a contract. £5-a-week allowance, negotiated by her mom (who somehow got her weekends off). Feed the dog, clothes in the hamper, make her bed, get paid. We’re trying to build the muscle: work = reward. Good things come when you work for it.

“Serena was her lawyer in the negotiation,” he explained. “I drew up a real contract. Her mom was her counsel, which was really frustrating. She’s gotta feed the dog, put her clothes in the hamper, makes her bed

“We’re trying to create that flywheel between doing the work and getting the money, and then understanding that there are things you could want.”

Body transformation
Serena Williams has opened up about her physical transformation since retiring, revealing she has turned to weight-loss medication to achieve her fitness objectives.

In recent months, the American has been posting pictures of her transformed body on social media, with gymnasium and holiday snaps attracting considerable attention.

A collection of bikini photographs taken on a yacht particularly generated widespread discussion, with supporters remarking on the remarkable outcomes of her post-retirement exercise programme.

Williams has now revealed that in addition to her dedicated gymnasium efforts, she has been taking GLP-1 medication provided by US healthcare firm Ro.

Speaking to Vogue, the former world No. 1 explained she had reached a stage where, despite continuous exercise, she was unable to achieve the advancement she desired.

“My whole life has been about working out – running, training, HIIT sessions, dancing, everything you can think of,” she said. “But I always got stuck at a certain point. That’s when I decided to try something different and started using GLP-1 with Ro.”

She emphasised that she was already exercising and maintaining a healthy diet but required additional support to progress further.

“It’s an issue so many women can relate to,” she added. “You’re putting in the work but can’t quite get where you want to be.”

Williams described the transformation as both physical and psychological. “I feel lighter in my head, I feel sexier, I feel more confident,” she said.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion also hit back at critics who dismiss GLP-1 use as an ‘easy way out’.

“I know people can be negative about it, saying things like, ‘It’s for lazy people,’ or, ‘If you train hard enough, you don’t need it.’ But that’s simply not true,” she insisted.

“Sometimes you need a little help – and that’s OK. Everyone has their own story. I made the choice for myself and I’m really happy I did.”
