A controversy has erupted following Nigerian superstar Davido’s recent visit to Umuahia, Abia State, for the launch of Don FM and Ikoro FM, media outlets owned by Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu). Don Lulu sponsored Davido’s appearance and arranged his private jet from Owerri to Umuahia for the event.
However, reports reveal that Ituma Chukwuemeka, CEO of Enviable Transport, alongside nightlife promoter Cubana Chiefpriest, allegedly diverted Davido to a private residence in Umuahia, which was not part of the official itinerary. This detour reportedly began at Owerri airport, where Cubana Chiefpriest tried to redirect Davido to his residence, but the singer insisted on going to Umuahia. Despite this, Davido was later seen at Ituma’s residence, where a $10,000 cash gift was reportedly given, with no mention of Don Lulu’s sponsorship.
The Don Lulu Youth Assembly, represented by Comrade Chidiebere Nwoko, condemned the act as deceptive and disrespectful, demanding a public apology from Ituma Chukwuemeka to Mayor Lucky Igbokwe. They warned that failure to apologize could lead to further actions to protect Abia’s entertainment industry integrity.

Ituma Chukwuemeka, known as Mr. Enviable, is a rising transport mogul in Abia with strong ties to Cubana Chiefpriest. His quiet but influential rise in business circles has recently gained national attention, especially after the Davido visit incident.
Stakeholders are calling for professionalism and transparency in future high-profile events in the region to avoid similar controversies. Meanwhile, Davido’s performance at the launch remained a highlight, despite the surrounding drama.
