The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared Nigerian entertainer Darlington Okoye, known as Speed Darlington, wanted over allegations of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. This announcement came after Speed Darlington failed to respond to multiple summons for questioning related to a viral Instagram Live video in which he claimed to have had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl.
The initial summons was issued on May 28, 2025, requesting his appearance at NAPTIP’s Abuja headquarters on May 30, 2025. He did not appear, citing prior commitments and proposing an alternative date, which NAPTIP rejected due to the urgency of the matter. A subsequent new date was set for June 2, 2025, but he again failed to comply, leading to the agency declaring him wanted and urging anyone with credible information about his whereabouts to contact them immediately.

The case originated from a disturbing Instagram Live video where Speed Darlington admitted to having sexual relations with a minor, an act constituting serious offences under Nigerian law. The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency initially investigated the matter and escalated it to NAPTIP for further action. Speed Darlington later claimed the statements were promotional for a new song and apologized for any offence caused.
NAPTIP has provided contact numbers and an email for the public to report any information on Speed Darlington’s location, emphasizing the seriousness of the allegations and their commitment to pursuing justice in this case.
