Mohsen bin Saeed Alzahrani, a cabin manager with Saudi Arabian Airlines, tragically passed away while on duty aboard Flight SV119 from Jeddah to London on Thursday, June 26. During the flight, Alzahrani suffered a sudden medical emergency, believed to be a fatal heart attack. Despite immediate medical assistance from the crew and onboard medical personnel, he was pronounced dead after the aircraft made an emergency landing at Cairo International Airport.

The co-pilot safely diverted the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner to Cairo following a distress call from the captain. Upon landing, paramedics confirmed Alzahrani’s death, and his body was transferred to a local hospital. Egyptian authorities have launched an investigation to rule out any criminal suspicion.
Saudi Arabian Airlines described the loss as a heartbreaking moment, honoring Alzahrani as a dedicated and admired team member known for his professionalism, integrity, and high moral standards. The airline is coordinating with the Saudi Embassy in Egypt to repatriate his body to the Kingdom.

Saudia praised the flight crew for their calm and professional handling of the emergency and thanked passengers for their patience during the ordeal. The flight resumed its journey to London after all legal and medical procedures were completed.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Alzahrani’s family, colleagues, and friends,” the airline stated, reaffirming its commitment to support those affected by this profound loss.
