Elizade University organized a free medical outreach at Ilara-Mokin New Palace Hall to celebrate the 87th birthday of its founder, Chief Michael Ade. Ojo, OON. Hundreds of community members received free medical consultations, screenings, medications, and health advice from the university’s Health Centre and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
Chief Ade. Ojo emphasized that “service to humanity is the essence of life,” stating that his birthday celebration was a way to give back to the community that nurtured him. He urged the younger generation to uphold the legacy of service and highlighted health as fundamental to community development.

The Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Sunday Babatunde Adeyemo, described the outreach as an extension of the university’s mission to contribute beyond academics, while Registrar Omololu Adegbenro noted it reflected the founder’s commitment to sustainable community development.
Beneficiaries, including the elderly and children, expressed gratitude for the timely and impactful initiative. The Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, praised Chief Ade. Ojo’s continued generosity at 87.

Services provided included blood pressure checks, malaria and blood sugar tests, distribution of essential drugs, and general consultations at no cost. Dr. Lanre Olatunde, Chief Medical Director of Elizade University Clinic, led the medical team inspired by Chief Ade. Ojo’s selfless service.
This outreach is part of Elizade University’s broader commitment to community engagement, reflecting the founder’s lifelong dedication to education, industry, and philanthropy.
