Lagos State University (LASU) proudly congratulates Ayọka Roqeebat Kazeem, an alumna of the Department of Linguistics, African Languages and Communication Arts, for making history as the first-ever winner of a brand-new car on the popular Yoruba language game show, “Masoyinbo.”
Ayọka’s victory highlights her exceptional knowledge and mastery of the Yoruba language, skills she honed during her studies at LASU. While an undergraduate, she served as Secretary of the Yoruba and Linguistics Students’ Association, earning recognition for her leadership, brilliance, and dedication to promoting indigenous language and culture.
“Masoyinbo” is a celebrated cultural programme that challenges contestants on Yoruba language and heritage. Ayọka’s success not only marks a personal milestone but also reflects LASU’s commitment to nurturing graduates who excel academically and culturally.
