Arise TV Recognizes Women Affairs Minister, Other Leading Figures for Impactful Contributions

Arise TV’s Board of Editors has bestowed honors upon the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, and numerous other distinguished Nigerian women, acknowledging their significant contributions across various sectors. The awards ceremony, held at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre on Monday, celebrated women who have made substantial impacts in government, politics, business, finance, and the creative economy.

Minister Sulaiman Ibrahim was lauded for her exceptional leadership in advocating for women, children, and vulnerable groups. Represented by Mrs. Olasumbo Odunsi, founder of the Alafia Foundation, the minister was specifically recognized for her dedication to redefining public service through a focus on gender equality and humanitarian governance. The Board of Editors highlighted her championing of policies aimed at uplifting women and children, emphasizing her data-driven and people-centric approach, which has fostered inclusion and united Nigerian women under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Other notable awardees included First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, recognized for her advocacy for women’s empowerment; Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, celebrated for her trailblazing global economic leadership; and Dr. Amina Mohammed, acknowledged for her work in championing sustainable development. Additional honorees included Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Hadiza Bala Usman, Senator Ireti Kingibe, Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Minister of Arts and Culture, Hannatu Musawa, Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad, and Senator Natasha Akpoti.

In her response, conveyed through her representative, Minister Sulaiman Ibrahim expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and make meaningful impacts. She also thanked Arise TV, particularly Prince Nduka Obaigbena, for recognizing the strength and accomplishments of Nigerian women.
