Wayne Rooney has hinted he might one day follow his wife, Coleen, onto the popular reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! but has ruled out appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, citing his lack of dancing skills. “I can’t dance,” Rooney joked, adding that I’m A Celebrity is the one show he and Coleen have always considered doing together.
The former England and Manchester United star, now 39, has been out of work since stepping down as Plymouth Argyle’s manager by mutual consent on New Year’s Eve. December was eventful for the Rooney family, as Coleen finished as runner-up on I’m A Celebrity, narrowly losing to McFly’s Danny Jones.
While Rooney is open to future reality TV opportunities, he remains focused on other projects. This summer, he will wear the England jersey once again in Soccer Aid for Unicef at Old Trafford on June 15. Reflecting on his return to the iconic stadium, Rooney said, “It’s always great to play at Old Trafford and raise money for a good cause.”
For now, fans might have to wait before seeing Rooney tackle jungle challenges, but his enthusiasm for the show suggests it could be a possibility in the future.
