Ese Brume is a Nigerian athlete who specializes in the long jump. She is a three-time African senior champion in the long Jump and holds a personal best of 7.17 m She is the African junior record and African record holder in the event and also a five-time African junior champion in athletics. She won gold at the Commonwealth Games with a 7.00m jump
Women’s 4x100m Relay
The combination was just perfect! Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, Grace Nwokocha, and Tobi Amusan won Gold with a time of 42.30s
Mercy Genesis Miesinnei
Mercy Genesis who is 24 years old won gold at the 2015 All African Games, then stepped up her Game and won Gold at the Commonwealth Games.
Oborududu Blessing- Wrestling (68kg)
Blessing won Silver Medal in The Olympics, then won Gold in the Commonwealth Games 2022
Odunayo Adekuoroye – Wrestling (57kg)
Adekuoroye won gold for the second time in the Commonwealth Games to make up for her Olympic loss in 2020.
Rafiatu Folashade Lawal – Weightlifting (59kg)
Rafiatu Folashade has four gold medals from international tournaments, beginning with the African Games in Rabat in 2019, the 2021 African and Commonwealth Championships; and now gold at her first Commonwealth Games.
Adijat Olarinoye – Weightlifting (55kg)
She won a Silver Medal at the World Wrestling Championship. This is her first Gold Medal
Folashade Oluwafemiayo – Para Powerlifting (75kg)
Folashade Oluwafemiayo won a gold medal in the Summer Paralympics in 2020. She also has gold medals from the World Championships in 2017, 2019, and 2021, adding it up to her great performance over the years is the Commonwealth Games Gold in 2022
Eucharia Iyiazi – F55-57 Shot Put
At age 48, she is the oldest member of Team Nigeria she began her gold medal journey at the 2008 Olympic Games. She has bronze medals from the Olympic Games in 2012, 2016, and 2020.
Chioma Onyekwere – Shot Put
Onyekwere who represented Nigeria in the World Championships in Oregon was saddened with her 21st-place finish, but nevertheless she knew she could and made up for it with a gold medal in Birmingham, with a throw of 61.70m.
Goodness Nwachukwu – Discus Throw
Nwachukwu won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. She also broke her previous world record of 32.95m by setting a new one of 36.56m.
