Chief Michael Kolawole Ogunseye , the Asiwaju of Gbagura Christians, Akinlagun of Egba Christians and incoming Baagbimo of Owu Kingdom, Dr. David Láí Ṣóilé , a Medical Practitioner spanning over 39 years, Bukola Jaiyeola, a Registered Dietician, Entrepreneur and Author and Senior Pastor Stephen Akinmosa at the weekend bagged Honorary Doctoral Award at LEIC UK 2024.

The award was conferred on the four recipients by a South-African-based Immanuel Theology Institute International in conjunction with Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc(PLDI) based in Nigeria and founded by Prof. Olusesi Obateye.

According to the he international Coordinator, Prof Obateye, the awardees were carefully selected based on their numerous contributions to the development of humanity and leadership prowess.

Born to Pa Isaac Olaogun Ogunseye from Ile-Aro in Gbagura, Abeokuta , Ogun State and late Mrs Durosomo Akanke Ogunseye (nee Adekanbi) from Iganmode Otta, Ogun State and happily married to Chief Mrs Toyin Funke Ogunseye (Asiwaju Obirin of Gbagura Christians), Chief Ogunseye, the septuagenarian is blessed with 6 children, (4 females and 2 males) and 6 grandchildren.

Chief Michael Ogunseye is a devoted Christian who was ordained as an Evangelist in 1998 by Baptist Church Evangelical Mission in the United Kingdom.

Before now, Chief Michael Ogunseye has received so many local and international awards for his humanitarian works in Africa.

Despite living abroad, Chief Michael Ogunseye has remained connected to the home front providing various intervention. He is a member of Abeokuta Club; Abeokuta Sports Club; Lisabi Elites Club of Egba and Rotary Club of Abeokuta. He is currently the Chairman of Solace Drugs Abuse and Mental Health Advocacy Group.

Dr. David Láí Ṣóilé on the other hand is a Medical Practitioner as well as an Anointed Labourer in the Vineyard of God who strives daily to profess Jesus Christ to all and sundry and he is unrepentantly committed to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
                                                                     
He has been practicing the art of Medicine for the past 39 years, firstly in Nigeria and later in the United Kingdom, having graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1985. 

He is presently a Consultant Family Physician/Principal GP and Senior Partner in Gravesend, Kent, UK.


Born into a strong Christian family, he was in the Cathedral Choir by age of 5, and quickly rose to become the head of the ‘Treble-caucus’ and then the Cross-bearer of St Paul Cathedral, Sagamu, Nigeria by 1974. 

He has consistently and steadily grown as a Christian and have served in various capacities/offices, culminating in being anointed as an Evangelist in 1994, an Assistant Pastor and later a Full Pastor in the year 2002 at Christ Eternal Revival Ministry, London.  United Kingdom.                                                                                                 

Dr. Soile is presently, The Resident Priest in-Charge, Shaddaiville Ministries International (UK Branch) London.

His philanthropic drive is exemplary especially where it is to support the spread of the Gospel; help the poor, the disabled/disadvantaged and the widowed.


Indeed, he was able to establish, along with others, a Centre for the visually challenged in Nigeria, named The Remo Enable Centre in Sagamu, Ogun State which has been running for the past 15 years.  

Professor David Láí Ṣóilé was also appointed the Chairman Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative – PLDI United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the only female and youth among the awardees is Dr. Bukola Jaiyeola, a Registered Dietician, Entrepreneur , Author and Chief Executive Officer of the popular outfit, Next Big Deal Hub.

The award is in recognition of her outstanding contributions to humanity and remarkable giant strides in entrepreneurial development.

Speaking on her choice, the International Coordinator affirmed that the award is aimed at identifying with and celebrating youth who have distinguished themselves pointing out that all efforts without passing the baton to the youths would result in futility.

Bukola Jaiyeola’s career began with an education in Nutrition and Dietetics from Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) leading to her qualification as
a registered dietician (RDN). Her passion for entrepreneurship started in 2013 when she received solid training in event planning and decorations, which was further enhanced by extensive business development training from GIZ, a German outfit.

In 2017, she founded Next Big Deal Global, a business-to-business service provider offering a range of support services to aspiring and existing business owners, including business plan writing, vocational training, and general business development training through workshops and seminars.

Bukola Jaiyeola

Leveraging her experience as an entrepreneur, and expertise as business development coach, Bukola Jaiyeola authored the book “Wake Up! Crush it! Building a Profitable Business with a Global Vision.” This led her to begin a mentorship programme “Exclusive Life Mentorship With Bukola Jaiyeola.”

She is recognised as one of the 50 inspirational women in social development on the TEDx list, 2023 and recently became an ECOWAS Ambassador. She was also featured in the UK magazine, Sticks and Stones, where she shared insights on lifestyle development and healthy eating. As a dedicated dietician, she is passionate
about promoting healthy eating within the community.

The fourth awardee, Senior Pastor (Dr) Stephen Akinmosa Pastor Stephen Akinmosa is a distinguished leader in theological education and pastoral ministry with a career spanning several decades. He has made significant contributions through teaching, leadership, and authorship. His dedication to faith, education, and community service is evident in his professional endeavors and personal life. Pastor Akinmosa continues to inspire and mentor future generations of religious leaders and scholars, fostering spiritual growth and academic excellence.

Born in 1953, Pastor Akinmosa is happily married to Pastor Mrs Elizabeth Akinmosa and they are blessed with three wonderful children.

Akinmosa was a Lecturer at Lagos State College of Management Studies, Nigeria and is currently the Senior Pastor Communion of Saints Evangelical Church, London, UK where he is committed to leading the congregation in worship and spiritual development, delivering impactful sermons and theological teachings, overseeing church activities, programs, and community outreach initiatives.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Purchasing Management and has authored Authored three influential books on theology and pastoral care, contributing to the body of knowledge in the field.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Chancellor of the South Africa–based institution, Prof Van Den Berg spoke extensively on the theme of the conference “Responsible and Responsive Leadership”

Prof Edward Alfred underscored the critical role of leadership in addressing the needs of those they guide and mentor.

The keynote speaker, Elder David Ibiobamimo emphasized that true leadership is about meeting the needs of people and providing effective solutions.

He highlighted that a leader must possess the wisdom to recognize the value of every individual within an organization, from the least to the highest in the hierarchy.

While pointing out that leadership is fundamentally about intervention, Ibiobamimo said leaders are called to address and resolve prevailing circumstances, challenges, and problems.

By acting as solution makers, leaders, he further submitted, must have the foresight to create a lasting, transgenerational impact.

The keynote speaker introduced the acronym, CAP, which defines the characteristics of a genuine leader in which C stands for Credibility, A – Authenticity and P for Productivity.

He cautioned all leaders in various facets of life who leave the interests of the followers unattended to change or face great disgrace.
