The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has initiated an investigation into an incident involving Dana Air, where one of its passenger airplanes overshot the runway shortly after landing at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos on Tuesday.
Confirming the probe, Mrs. Wunmi Oladeji, the Director of Public Affairs at NSIB, stated that investigators are currently at the site of the incident conducting an investigation.
The NSIB will rely on their report to provide further updates on the matter.

Dana Air’s management issued a statement indicating that the aircraft, registered as 5N BKI, had flown into Lagos from Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
The incident occurred around 10:15 am, during which the aircraft, carrying 83 passengers, veered off the runway and became lodged in a bushy area nearby.
Fortunately, all passengers disembarked from the aircraft without injuries.
Emergency responders, including the airport’s Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Services, promptly mobilized to the scene to address the situation.
