Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, credited divine strength from God for his ability to withstand insults and challenges, leading to a prevailing atmosphere of peace in the state amid political tensions.
In a meeting with a delegation of Bishops and Gospel Ministers’ Association International Incorporated, Rivers State chapter, represented by the Head of the State Civil Service, Dr. George Nwaeke, Governor Fubara emphasized the positive transformation in the state’s narrative from conflict to peace.
Acknowledging the impact of negative perceptions on investors and residents alike, Fubara highlighted his commitment to absorbing insults to foster peace and spur genuine development in Rivers State.

Archbishop Eddy Ogbonda, leading the group, expressed solidarity through prayers for peace during the Rivers State Prophetic Prayer Convocation and Rally 2024, themed “Peace be still.”
The delegation reaffirmed their support and confidence in Governor Fubara’s leadership, invoking divine intervention for continued success over challenges.
