The Rivers State Police Command has announced the foiling of an armed robbery operation in Khana Local Government Area, resulting in the neutralization of three assailants, including a notorious armed robber known as “Oyoyo.”
According to Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the state command, the incident took place on Prisigbara/Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic Road, with operatives from the Bori Division and the Anti-Cultism Unit swiftly responding to a distress call.
Upon arrival at the scene, the robbers engaged the police in a shootout, but they were ultimately subdued and fatally wounded.
Among the deceased was Monday Sulole, alias “Oyoyo,” a 25-year-old notorious armed robber and cultist known for his involvement in various criminal activities in the Ogoni axis of the state.

The police recovered several items from the scene, including firearms, ammunition, a machete, and charms.
The successful operation has restored normalcy to the area, with increased police patrols implemented to ensure the safety of residents.
The Rivers State Police Command expressed gratitude to the community for their cooperation and urged residents to continue supporting law enforcement efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
The command also reassured the public of its commitment to combating crime and protecting lives and property.
