The Minister for Works, Dave Umahi, has pledged the timely completion of all ongoing federal road projects in Kogi State.
During an inspection tour of these projects on Monday, Umahi highlighted President Tinubu’s interest in expediting the completion of various sections, including those affected by floods.
Umahi particularly mentioned plans for a flyover bridge around the Obajana junction in Lokoja as part of the Lokoja-Okene-Auchi-Benin Highway project. Additionally, he assured that works on seven critical points along the Lokoja-Abuja Highway would be intensified by the federal government.
Emphasizing adherence to project specifications and timelines, Umahi advised contractors to ensure timely completion.

Representing Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Deputy Governor Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu, who accompanied Umahi on the inspection, lauded the Federal Government, particularly President Tinubu, for prioritizing federal road projects in the state.
Salifu affirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting and cooperating with the Ministry of Works to complete these projects.
