Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has made a duet with singer Johnny Drille born John Ighodaro.
Johnny Drille, who was born and raised in Edo State, visited the governor on Monday.
On receiving the singer in his office, Obaseki said, “How are you, my friend?” an allusion to the musician’s 2022 hit song ‘How are you (my friend)’.
The duo spoke on the governor’s effort to support young people in the creative sector. Obaseki said he was pleased to have built a state-of-the-art facility named Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub for that purpose.
Commenting on the 33-year-old’s visit, Obaseki wrote on social media: “I was thrilled to have one of the nation’s best musical talents and my friend, @johnnydrille, visit today! We have built a state of the art facility with the @victoruwaifocreativehub, to support young talent in the creative sector and are excited for more young artists to create new experiences in our Hub.
“We remain committed to promoting arts in the State and keeping our innately creative youth positively engaged.”
