Nollywood actor Natty Bruce Idigbogu has died.
Journalist Shaibu Husseini announced the death of the martial arts actor in a post via Facebook on Monday.
“I have just been reliably informed that light has dimmed on foremost Nollywood’s ‘martial arts’ actor Natty Bruce.
“The green belter was passionate about integrating Martial Arts in Nollywood movies. He also tried to produce a full-length Martial Art movie… Good night Oga Natty…… bye bye Sir,” he wrote.
Natty Bruce was an actor, filmmaker and stunt coordinator.
He starred in movies like The Wolf, Black Master, King of Devils and Wrong Turn.
Natty died five months after Anambra State-born actor Don Brymo Uchegbu was reported dead.
The veteran actor reportedly died in his sleep.
His colleague and friend Mayor Ofoegbu confirmed the development in a post on his Facebook page on a Thursday morning.
“Plan for tomorrow but live for today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed,” he said.
“I wrote those lines on my WhatsApp status yesterday evening. My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu, passed in his sleep.
“I received the shocking news this morning and had to verify from his family. Chai! Don Brymo my manchi. It’s had to say goodbye. Nnukwu nwa na Enugu ukwu.”
Barely one month after Brymo died, Nollywood actor Saint Obi passed on at the age of 57 after a protracted illness.
The actor, who starred in the movie industry in the 1990s and 2000s, died in Plateau State. His body was taken to the morgue at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
Saint Obi was buried on August 18, 2023, in his hometown in Imo State.
