……as APM withdraws appeal
The Supreme Court has reserved judgement on the appeal filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
The apex court on Monday began hearing in the appeals filed by the PDP candidate as well as the Labour Party (LP), candidate, Peter Obi against the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25, 2023 election.
Atiku, Obi and the Allied Peoples Movement, (APM) had filed separate appeals before the supreme court over the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, which dismissed their petitions and affirmed Tinubu’s election last month.
The former vice president also filed for permission to tender a copy of Tinubu’s academic records released by the Chicago State University, CSU, USA, which he said showed that Tinubu submitted a forged CSU certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Meanwhile, the Allied Peoples Movement, (APM), has withdraw its appeal against the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Court.
