The 70th Jubilee and 40th Annual Convention tagged ” Golden Jubilee” of RCCG is one that its memories cannot be obliterated in the minds of believer for a long time as it was characterised by great developments for church growth and development and signs and wonder. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye had during the convention announced changes in the leadership of some key officers in the Mission, creation of new Regions and Provinces and implementation of strict adherence to traffic rules within the Redemption Camp.
The Jubilee Convention which brought together a great multitude cut across various countries of the world witnessed the ordination of 2048 Full Pastors, 196 Assistant Pastors and 9541 Deacon and Deaconess. Thousands of people touched by God Almighty gave heir lives to Jesus Christ during the Convention to the admiration of other worshippers.
ValidViewNetwork recalls that salvation of souls is a critical goal of RCCG as indicated in the mission statement of the church.
The Convention provided an opportunity for women who had been considered barren to celebrate the goodness of God upon their lives as they danced forward from all corners of the gigantic auditorium to celebrate the faithfulness of God Almighty. The joy on their faces speak volume of their testimonies! The celebrations ignited both the new and the old arena with great celebrations.
Expressing his joy, Pastor E.A. Adeboye reiterated his love for children charged the congregation to give praise to God Almighty. According to him, “If you consider that in all these homes (of the mothers) there was sorrow, but now there is joy, you cannot but praise the Lord.” The congregation responded with a thunderous and electrifying praise to the Almighty God.
The tune for the celebration at the next convention is already set as the General Overseer declared that God has promised to release 110, 000 children to RCCG.
